We were pleased to participate in the 27th Annual Capital Link Invest in Greece Forum, “Building on Success: Unlocking Greece’s Investment Potential”, an important platform for discussing Greece’s evolving economic and investment landscape.
Dr. Mantha Varela, Partner at Saplegal – A.S. Papadimitriou & Partners Law Firm, moderated the panel “The Greek Economic Renaissance: Growth, Resilience & Competitiveness”, bringing together senior policymakers and leading international economists to examine the drivers behind Greece’s improved macroeconomic outlook.
The panel analyzed how consistent structural reforms, strengthened institutions, and the effective deployment of EU Recovery and Resilience Facility funds have contributed to restoring investment-grade status and enhancing economic resilience. Discussion also focused on the shift toward a more outward-looking and investment-driven growth model, supported by regulatory modernization, updated labor frameworks, and increased transparency for foreign direct investment.
A central conclusion was that Greece’s transformation is neither cyclical nor accidental, but the result of sustained policy discipline. Looking ahead, maintaining reform momentum, accelerating productivity-enhancing measures, and fostering innovation will be key to consolidating competitiveness and attracting high-quality, long-term international capital.
