16th Panhellenic Conference of Legal Services Lawyers

Our Senior Associate Mantha Varela participated as a speaker in the 16th Panhellenic Conference of Legal Services Lawyers, which was held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at the Athens Concert Hall, organized by Nomiki Bibliothiki.

Mantha joined the panel "MANAGEMENT MEMBERS' RESPONSIBILITY, CORPORATE GOVERNANCE & SHAREHOLDER ACTIVISM", along with the exceptional colleagues Athanasios Kouloridas, Vassilis Konstantinidis, Papathanasopoulou Eugenia and Nikos Salakas, moderated by the Director of Legal Services & Compliance & Corporate Secretary, of HERON (GEK Terna Group) Panagiotis Alexandrakis.

The panel mainly discussed about the contemporary challenges faced by the Board Members and Management Members in general, of the Sociétés Anonymes, in a constantly changing business environment, about the  responsibility and transparency in making critical decisions, best corporate governance practices and the role of shareholder activism in shaping companies' strategy.
