Hellenic State Lotteries – OPAP privatizations

We have advised «GTECH S.p.A.» (formerly known as Lottomatica Group S.p.A) a leading commercial operator and provider of technology in regulated worldwide gaming markets, in relation to the participation of GTECH’s S.p.A. subsidiaries in (a) a consortium that participated in the privatization tender held by the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (“HRADF”) and ultimately awarded the right to the exclusive production, operation, circulation, promotion and management of the Hellenic State Lotteries; and (b) a fund that recently acquired indirectly the 33% stake held by the Hellenic Republic in the “Hellenic Football Prognostics Organisation S.A.” (“OPAP”). OPAP’s privatization is the largest privatization since the launch of HRADF’s privatization programme in Greece.
